Singing for Peace..

Since the release of Darya’s “Yaahoo” there have been lots of articles on the net related to  Darya’s peace project. Darya, who is using music as his weapon in order to unite Afghans has made a very good start and has more helping hands. The DED (Deutche Enwicklungs Dienst) has sponsored Darya’s project for a sum of 100.000 euro’s. Darya produced “Yaahoo” with a very succesful music producer in Germany, Goar B, who has years of experience in the international music business.  “The songs in Yaahoo should contribute to the togetherness of all the ethnic groups inside Afghanistan” says Andreas Schneider, nations director of the DED. More than 5000 copies of “Yaahoo” have been spread out in Afghanistan by now.

Darya’s vision of peace is so beautiful that if we all see the future through his work Afghanistan will be a colourful country , a tangible illustration of an ethnically diverse people who have suffered much adversity but miraculously emerged as a rainbow above the earth .An example to all humanity. Let us all live this vision and rebuild a wounded nation.Let us nurture his vision each time we listen to the songs of unity and peace.Let us put aside our differences and look for what we all have in common with each other. Towards peace and unity.
